RENOVATION
Thorncliffe was built in 1898 of Lakeland slate.
Thorncliffe was purchased in 2001 and over a few years it was totally renovated and refurbished. I started my Fine Art degree that year and was living near Leeds, so it was a slow process. Below are a few photographs illustrating the "before" and "after". Luckily the previous owners hadn't done any renovation work, so we have many original features such as the plaster coving and slate steps.
The spaces at the front and back of the house are the last major projects.
The kitchen, Laura in the dining room and hall, and the outside of the house.

Room 1

The B&B wasn't an idea at the outset, so Room 1 had a beautiful original fireplace fitted.
This is now where the en-suite is situated
